Smartwatches may have a lot of firepower, but what about a wearable that lets you shoot actual flames from your hands?

The PYRO Fireshooter puts fireballs right up your sleeve. It attaches to the underside of the wrist and contains four individually triggered barrels, each able to launch a fireball 10 feet.

The PYRO is sold by Ellusionist, an online resource for magicians or students of the craft of magic, for $174 (you must be 18 or over to purchase). One PYRO comes with enough flash cotton and paper for 60 fireballs, plus a wireless remote.

The goal of Ellusionist founder Brad Christian is to give people the power to perform and be the life of any party.

Just be careful not to burn the party down.

“This is not a toy,” Ellusionist declares on the product page for the PYRO Fireshooter. “This is a badass professional device that allows you to launch fireballs from your open palm. At Ellusionist, we’re continually striving to make you look like a SuperHero.”

But before unleashing the power, Ellusionist urges the operator to watch the safety and instructional video that comes with the device.

On it, PYRO’s developer, Adam Wilber, shows how to correctly use and maximize the “wow” from your friends and audience.

Wilber even models “badass” on the website’s product video, which features a dramatic rock soundtrack and a mysterious walk through the desert.

All I see is arson cases on the rise

I wish this product video focused more on the actual device and how it works than a lot of over the top bluster and effects.

I’ve been making hand held single shot devices like this for years; smaller and more concealable as well. A 4 inch piece of 1/2″ copper pipe, AA battery holder and battery, push button switch, a model airplane Glo-plug igniter, and a wad of flash paper, a bit of solder and a glue gun . Easy DIY

    Hello everyone,
I am the inventor of this device and to answer a few questions and comments. Let me start by saying if you go to the product page itself you can scroll down and see very in depth reviews of the unit and see how it works exactly.

Also while it is not a new idea to shoot flash paper from a glow plug attached to a barrel, I think you will see the people who have purchased this understand first hand how much thought and effort went into this device.

Can you make one yourself? Well yes you can make a flash gun at home for 20 or 30 bucks but you most certainly can’t make a four barrel remote controlled unit like PYRO as simply as some might try and suggest.

I really appreciate everyones comments and interest and I am always available to discuss the unit or answer any question you may have. I can be reach directly at: [email protected]

    Cheers.

Why the heck is some old hack magic trick being posted here on CultofMac? This has nothing to do Macintoshes or any Apple product in any way. Are the editors suggesting that there is a big cross over market between Mac owners and birthday party magicians?
