At this point, everyone knows that Apple’s going to unveil the new iPhone next week, which means that your window of opportunity to sell your old iPhone 4 to some sucker has pretty much closed.

Don’t fret, though. We know someone will buy your used iPhone 4 from you for a good price. If you’ve got an iPhone 4 in decent nick, NextWorth.com is promising to give you $250 for it… a $50 premium over their usual trade-in price, no questions asked.

That’s crazy. Crazy… like a fox!

To qualify, you must have a 16GB or 32GB AT&T iPhone 4 in good working condition with no heavy scratches or cracks.

Says Jeff Trachsel, CMO of NextWorth, “With so much uncertainty surrounding
the launch of the iPhone 5, we wanted to take the guesswork out of wondering
when to upgrade/sell your old phone. Combined with the 21-day price lock,
the extra $50 for trading up to the new iPhone through NextWorth is a
no-brainer.”

If you’re interested, you can check out the details of the trade-in offer here.

I’ll take my chance on eBay. I sold my 3G there for $275 a few months after getting a 4. People are still getting $150 to $200 for a 3GS.

You mean there is another option besides keeping all your previous Apple products mint-in-box in chronological order on a shelf?  Who knew?

What a rip off…..sell it on eBay or Craigslist for more than $350……dumb people will give it to this punk

How are these guys making any money? Is there a market somewhere where people are buying used iphone 4 for over $300-350??

here is a real tip: sell it internationally on eBay. I sell to the UK and europe all the time and get $590-620 for a 16 GB and $740-780 for a 32 GB. Make sure they know they need to pay customs duty!

Dude, iPhone 4’s sell easily for 400 on craigslist and eBay. I mean the original iPhone still sells for 150 on eBay! They are going to make tons of money buying these up at 250.

i agree i sold my white 16gb 3gs for 275 with free shipping on ebay last week, it did come with an otterbox case and apple care untill february… but this offer is indeed a ripoff

The website says unless the item is shipped within 7 days of receiving the UPS label, it may be revalued.  That changes everything.

I have always had good luck sailing local on craigslist. Same day cash money.

My only question is do I want to hassle with a new iPhone this round. I am very happy with my 4. The new phone will have to bring something new interesting to the table before I spend two days moving into a new iPhone.

I have to give a warning about this company.  I sent in my iPhone 4 for an estimate of $215 (price dropped a bit the day the 4s was announced). I just received an email saying that they were downgrading my phone’s condition from good to fair.  The criteria on their site says that good is with no cracks chips or scratches on the screen, and no cracks, chips, scratches, or dents on the casing.

My phone qualified as good by that definition.  One of the water sensors was popped, but they specifically didn’t ask about that.  I know the condition of my phone when i sent it in, and I know I packed it well.

I called them to ask why.  The person I spoke to told me that she was not an inspector, and due to their volumes I couldn’t speak to the inspector that handled my phone.

So beware, they may downgrade your phone condition, not allow you to speak to anyone related to the case, and provide no proof that the phone was received in the condition that they say it was received in.

Next time, I will take photos of my phone before sending it in to prove its condition.  They know that its not worth the $40 to me to have my phone sent back and deal with the whole thing, especially because of the water sensor.

Be a smart seller and don’t rely on honesty from this vendor!

I didn’t want to pass on my phone to another end user knowing that it had a popped water sensor, or I would have ebayed it.
