Along with the release of new betas for iOS 9 and watchOS 2, Apple has seeded a fourth beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to developers today. The release comes nearly two weeks since the last beta was made available to developers are well as public testers.
The new beta can be downloaded from the Mac App Store, but you’ll need to log into the Developer Center first to get a code. Users running the previous El Capitan beta should see it as an automatic update in the Updates section of the Mac App Store.
Apple’s release notes for OS X 10.11 El Capitan beta 4 don’t mention any major improvements or features other than the standard batch of bug fixes and performance adjustments. We’ll be sure to let you know if there are any new features hiding in the beta once we get it installed on our machines.

Works much better than the previous one.
what # betas have been release for public beta testing? just the original ios 9 and el capitan releases? thanks for your help.
Im not 100% sure what you mean here:) Yes Beta 4 of OS X is released. No idea about ios as i do not use this system:)
That is the “developers beta” of OS X. I am asking about the “public beta.”
I believe you should be able to install it anyway. Public beta follows usually later.
I can run Xcode 6.4 again!
well, in my case I go to the public beta website and the redeem code they give me doesn’t work in the Mac Appstore and there’s no update option for me in the Mac AppStore. Am I the only one having that problem?
Odd I just did it with no issues……I would try again
