Numark’s iDJ Live Deck For iPad Is Pretty Sick Looking

Wow, check out this absolutely bonkers iPad DJing kit by Numark. Sure, it’s not for serious DJs, but for amateurs who want to play at being daftly punk, this is a very cool accessory.

Leveraging the iOS app DJay, Numark’s iDJ Live controller costs $100, but it looks pretty sick, even if this guy doesn’t know what the heck he’s doing:

Even considering the fact that this thing is just for fun, no pitch control = EPIC FAIL

No it’s not, John. Another terrible article by the “journalist” on COM.

This looks like a cheap Fisher Price toy. Author has a distorted sense of sick.

Sick would be a word used to describe it though my definition might be different.

Why would you need pitch control? The DJay app let’s you set the correct tempo with one click

Because the software is not perfect, and sometimes gets the bpm completely wrong.  In which case, you need to take control and do it manually.

The usual idea is that you would use NFC to set up the link between the two devices and then do an automatic hand over to a different protocol for doing the actual transfer of data – eg Bluetooth, iphone 5
