Most luxury watch makers are desperately coming up with a plan to keep traditional watch wearers from upgrading to Apple’s decadent smartwatch, but California-based Nico Gerard has decided to follow the age-old adage, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.
For the company’s new Pinnacle line of Swiss timepieces launching on Monday, the watch maker has created a special bracelet that lets you slap a 38mm Apple Watch to the inside of your wrist. It’s like the mullet of smartwatches, business in the front, party in the back.
Check it out:
This isn’t exactly the first time we’ve seen a watch company try to buddy up with Apple Watch. Original Grain’s Duo band accomplishes the same thing, albeit with a much cheaper looking traditional watch.
Even though Nico Gerard isn’t a household name, it still charges luxury prices. Buying the 18 karat gold Sunrise Pinnacle model to match your Apple Watch Edition will set you back $112,000. There are more affordable options too if you’d rather go with the cheapest Nico Gerard Pinnacle for only $9,300. Preorders for the watches open today but the company says it will take 10-12 months before they start shipping, at which point we’ll all be obsessing about the Apple Watch 3.

Hysterical.
That is absurd on so many levels
That’s just ugly. There’s absolutely no sense of harmony at all to that hideous chimera, even between the strap and the apple watch (never mind the other watch)
Wearing two of everything is going to be really big in 2015.
