A simple to-do list isn’t enough when you’re managing tasks for more than one person, which is why Microsoft gave us Planner.
Its productivity tool makes it easy to organize teamwork among multiple people, and now it’s available on Android and iOS.
Planner has been available on the web for some time, but users have been asking Microsoft for a way to manage their tasks natively on mobile devices. Now it couldn’t be easier to manage and update tasks on the go with the new Planner app.
There’s just one problem with this version of the app. Microsoft says that although you can organize and make changes to existing plans on mobile, the ability to create news ones will be added “in the coming months.” Push notifications are also missing for now.
Nevertheless, if you’re a frequent Planner user, this will undoubtedly come in handy. If you’re new to Planner, you can get started with the service at tasks.office.com. You’ll need an Office 365 Enterprise E1–E5, Business Essentials, Business Premium, or Education subscription.
The Planner app is a free download from the App Store or Google Play.
