One of the biggest announcements coming out of Cupertino today is the creation of a completely new programming language called Swift – a programming language for the App Age.
Apple is wasting no time getting developers educated on the new tools available to them by making the Swift Programming Language guide book immediately available on iTunes.
Whether you’re a coding expert or an iOS novice, Swift makes it faster than ever to build apps without the constraints of Object C compatibility, allowing for a simplified and more flexible apps to be built on the frameworks of Cocoa Touch. It’s a completely reimagined way on how software development works.
“It’s a level playing field,” said Matthew Fern, HP intern and creator of space weather data app Atmos, and second-time attendee of AltConf. “I just started doing this development thing in earnest a few months ago. Getting to work with a new language right off the bat will be great.”
Apple’s new guide offers 500 pages of info on Swift that can be had on iBooks right now, providing readers with a tour of the new language, along with a detailed guide that dives into each new language feature.
If your dream is to make the next Flappy Bird or you just want to make a simple budgeting app this is required reading straight from the guys that built it.

Just click on the word “iTunes” at the bottom of the post. It will take you right to it.
Oh god.. I feel retarded! – Thanks you! :-)
No reason to feel bad. We are working on a little better UI.

Is there a link to download it from windows?
Really? The link takes you to the iTunes store. You don’t have iTunes on your windows machine?
You can’t download iBooks on Windows.
I need an apple id to enter on iTunes and download it. I have iTunes but not apple id.
You can’t code swift on windows either…
