IStabilizer’s Monopod is just that – a monopod. Only instead of being optimized to work as a disabled tripod, a camera stand with one leg instead of three, it is made to be used with lightweight cameras like the iPhone to snap pictures from more than arms’ length.

Pop on your iPhone, using the standard tripod mount, and extend the ‘pod from 14 inches to three feet. Then you can either hold it out in front of you for a background-including self-portrait, or go down low for some dog’s-eye-view images, or even some hot up-skirt shots.

You could even just use it as a camera-steadying monopod, if you don’t mind stooping to see the iPhone’s screen. However you use it, bringing a new angle-of-view to your photography is one of the best ways to spice up dull photos.

The Monopod will cost you $35, and will fit most small cameras and phones with its custom mount. Available now.
