You don’t need a crystal ball to tell you that the iPad 3 is almost definitely coming in March of next year, twelve months after the iPad 2 debuted. What changes will we see with the third generation of Apple’s tablet? Expectations for the iPad 3 include a Retina Display, a slimmer form factor, Siri support, Apple’s next-gen A6 SoC and even the possibility of LTE 4G.
We won’t know for months whether those expectations are accurate, but thanks to a Japanese rumor site, we do have a lead one one change to the iPad 3: it will have a smaller, redesigned dock connector that will require an adapter to work existing Apple Dock Connector products, according to Macotakara. Argh. Not again.

Haven’t we heard something similar before? Smaller iPhone Nano sans a Home button? Teardrop-shaped iPhone “5”? Unless there’s a new compelling technological reason that translates to an actual advantage(s) for the customer, I don’t understand why Apple would ditch the reliable 30-pin dock connector.
Ya because Apple has changed their connectors a lot to make money in the past…
 ThunderBolt, turn your iOS device into a secondary screen and touch input device on any Mac*. That would be a good enough reason.

For starters, I highly doubt a 4G LTE iPad 3. Apple’s already shown us with the iPhone 4S that they’re looking into means other than that of 4G…[aka] the battery killer. Although a smaller dock connector makes sense. Making the large connector smaller would allow more room internally. It would probably debut on the iPad 3 and make its way into the iPhone 5 [yeah I said it, iPhone 5]. I’m sure whatever Apple throws in the iPad 3 will be awesome and “magical” anyway.Â
I’m pretty confident iPad 3 will have 4G LTE. Â Mobile devices are moving to LTE next year in a big way. Â I can’t see it not happening. Â

How thin can you make the I-Pad? Â A large battery(the current key to battery life) has to fit in there and manage the heat and other component space claims.

Have they done this before? All of the dock connectors on my iDevices have been the same all the way back to the iPod Mini.
Assuming that they do change the connectors, there’s a good chance that Apple will provide a dongle so that the “iPad 3” will work with your devices.
Let’s not get carried away yet until it’s actually released. Â The dock connector has been around at least 10 years. Â If Apple changes it they won’t do it without serious thought behind it. Â Over 250 million Apple devices out there rely on it.
Well…you never know, Apple might release the iPad HD due to some of
the flaws of the iPad2 such as color bleeding and all that other stuff.
I’d love to see this come to fruition because well…when I saw that my
iPod would have a MUCH higher resolution of 300 ppi, as compared to the
ipad2 132 ppi, I became a little mad. So they probably fixed all the
