Along with the iPad 2, Apple will soon start shipping some cool new iPad accessories.
First of all, there’s a new dock connector that allows HDMI mirrored video output at up to 1080p. Apple says it’ll work with all apps and be perfect for teachers, lecturers, businessmen and presenters. No setup or configuration, supports rotation, and you can charge your iPad while using it.
It’ll cost $39 and should be available this month.

Mirrored output … of a 1024×768 device? Despite what Jobs said, that is not 1080p.
Will this work with an iPad 1?
If it’s sending a 1080p signal to your TV, then yes, it’s 1080p. Did he say all of the video it sends to your TV will be native 1080p with no uprezzing? No. But if it hands off a 1080p signal to your TV, regardless of the native video resolution, then it’s sending 1080p.
Apples page for this accessory says it will work with the ipad 1&2 and the iPhone 4 and iPod 4g (!) so this thing is going to be cool.
I use a projector a lot and I hope this comes to the VGA adapter with 4.3, but Im not holding my breath
