LAS VEGAS –Your iPhone is dirty. You know how we know? We subjected our intrepid reporter’s iPhone to Corning’s on-site contaminant test at CES in Vegas.
Corning is there, talking to Cult of Mac about its new Gorilla Glass, which will have a layer of ionic silver embedded in it. That will decrease the amount of bacteria on your iPhone screen while still being crazy-strong and scratch-resistant.
The result? It’s pretty gross.
As you can see in the video above, our iPhone holds the record for dirtiest iPhone screen at CES. We’re not sure if we’re good with this dubious honor, but we don’t hold back in finding out the real truth behind stuff here.
No word yet on when we can expect to see this antimicrobial material on retail iPhones, but it seems like a pretty great idea, especially with the test results embedded in our brains.
Yuck.

What was the bacterial count on the screen?
This interviewer is awful!! Doesn’t know what antibacterial is, thinks twice this product is going to keep his screen clean! What a joke! Before doing a video GET IT SORTED!
