Need a new Lightning cable right now but don’t have time to drive all the way to the Apple Store? Starting today you don’t even have to leave your couch to get your Apple fix, now that the Apple Store app has added same-day delivery via Postmates integration.

The same-day delivery service is only available for a limited number of products, such as the Apple TV and Lightning cables. And it’s only an option for customers in select cities where Postmates operates.

Those that have tried the same-day delivery are already raving about its speediness. MacRumor’s Juli Clover reports her order arrive 3.5 hours earlier than the delivery estimate.

The list of cities in which Postmates operates includes San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Denver, San Diego, Orange County, Portland, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Minneapolis, and Charlotte. We’ve tested to see if it’s available in San Francisco and Phoenix, but were unable to buy anything with same day delivery, so it could be limited to certain zip codes near the Apple Store as well.

Postmates is a fantastic service. They’ve been delivering my brunch for a while. :)

Buster, I live in N. PHX and just checked my address on Postmates website and they don’t serve my area so I’m thinking that it is true to say that it’s a proximity issue.
