Google announced a new version of its low-cost Cardboard virtual-reality headsets today at its I/O developers conference, and it’s giving some attendees a wicked case of déjà vu.
Ashley Mayer, director of communications for cloud-storage company Box, was in attendance at the event and posted the following observation on Twitter:

The picture puts an older photo of people wearing Google’s Glass augmented-reality headsets against a current one of a bunch of folks peering through their Cardboard viewers. “The more things change…” reads her caption.
Google said in January it was not going to produce any more Glass prototypes, then threw the project into a redesign process of indeterminate length. But it’s nice to know that in the meantime, the company is providing new ways for people to look silly in public.
Templates and instructions to build your own Cardboard viewer (which now supports larger handsets including the iPhone 6) are available online for free, or you can buy your own from a selection of manufacturers. Premade units cost between $19 and $85.

Silly period.
I love tech whether its android or ios but articles that start off making fun of a product are just bad writing. First of all, you don’t have to use this in public if you don’t want and it wasn’t made that way. They made this to make it possible for many consumers to have options, instead of paying hundreds of dollars. Also, it is great for schools or countries that want to teach children about a certain subject and make it affordable for them. The title of this article is a joke but at least you describe some useful things to make up for it.
