In a break from its usually highly secretive ways, Apple has reportedly moved a small team into a co-working space in Berlin.

The property in question, called Mindspace, is located in Friedrichstraße, a major upmarket street in central Berlin.

Neither Apple or Mindspace have publicly commented on the new workspace, although neither have they denied the claims.

“Unfortunately, I cannot give you any information since we generally do not talk about single locations or teams nor about temporary office space we probably rent,” an Apple spokesperson said.

Apple also has a small office nearby in Gendarmenmarkt square. When news of that office was first uncovered, Mindspace tweeted Apple to say: “Hi @Apple you could have avoided all the hassle of locating an office in #Berlin. Next, just come to Mindspace.”

Apple has so far kept quiet about its Berlin workspace, although it’s rumored that Apple is working on its automotive car project in the city.

Last year it was reported that Apple has a “Project Titan” R&D space in the city, populated by between 15 and 20 “top-class” employees, many of whom have previously worked in Germany’s buoyant automotive industry.

Given that any work in this area is likely to be kept so secret that even other Apple employees don’t know about it, it’s extremely unlikely that the new Mindspace co-working space has any people working on a top secret car project. Instead, it seems more probable that the employees are either doing work related to Apple Music or mapping.

Still, we’re envious of their cool office space!
