Like Apple One, Apple on Wednesday introduced a new AppleCare bundle for protecting multiple Apple devices. Dubbed AppleCare One, it extends the warranty and provides accidental damage protection to three Apple devices.
Pricing starts from $19.99 per month, with an option to add more devices by paying an additional $5.99 per device every month.
AppleCare One bundles coverage the smart way
Apple currently offers AppleCare+ coverage for its devices. It extends the warranty their warranty while also covering accidental damage. The problem is that you must buy AppleCare coverage for your iPhone, iPad or Mac individually. AppleCare One streamlines that, bringing extra protection for your Apple devices under the AppleCare One umbrella.
For $19.99 every month, you can add AppleCare+ coverage to your iPhone, iPad, MacBook or any three devices. The pricing remains the same irrespective of the devices you enroll. Apple says you save up to $11 per month with AppleCare One bundle instead of purchasing AppleCare+ individually for each device. Plus, you can add more devices by paying an extra $5.99 per month.
As part of the plan, you get unlimited repairs against accidental damage, 24/7 priority support and extended battery coverage. Another key highlight: the plan extends Theft and Loss coverage to the iPad and Apple Watch — something previously exclusive to the iPhone.
“At Apple, we’re focused on creating and delivering exceptional experiences. Built on the trusted foundation of AppleCare+, AppleCare One extends that same reliability and makes it easier than ever to protect the products you love and depend on like iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, combining simplicity and exceptional value,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
Add your old Apple gear in “good condition”
You don’t need to get a new Apple product to enroll it in AppleCare One. Customers can add devices up to four-year-old devices in “good condition” in the monthly subscription. For comparison, the company currently provides a 60-day window to get AppleCare+ coverage for a new device.
Trading in an existing Apple device automatically removes it from AppleCare One, and your new device is added in its place. You can continue enjoying AppleCare coverage for your devices as long as you continue paying for the monthly subscription.
In the US, customers can sign up for AppleCare One coverage from tomorrow (July 24) from their iPhone, iPad or Mac. Alternatively, they can visit their nearest Apple store.
