iPhone 7 users can finally enjoy uninterrupted audio through the Lightning port, now that Apple has released an iOS 10 update full of bug fixes.
iOS 10.0.2 was made available to all iPhone and iPad owners today, fixing issues with audio, photos and app extensions.

Shortly after the launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, owners started complaining that the Lightning EarPod’s volume control would stop working sometimes. The glitch made it impossible for users to activate Siri, answer phone calls or adjust volume.
Before the release of iOS 10.0.2, the only way to fix the bug was to unplug the EarPods and then plug them back in. Not all devices were affected, but it looks like Apple finally found the fix it promised earlier this week.
Some iPhone users have complained that iOS 10 drains their battery much quicker than iOS 9. The release notes for iOS 10.0.2 don’t mention any battery efficiency improvements, but we’ll see if we notice anything once we get it installed.
iPhone and iPad owners can download iOS 10.0.2 via and over-the-air update. Go to Settings >> General >> Software Update to download and install the new software directly to your device. You can also install it via iTunes.

Is this update in the iOS 10.1 beta?
I usually get paid approximately 6k-8k dollars /month on the internet. Everyone eager to finish easy computer-based task for 2h-5h /day from your home and make decent benefit in the same time… This is a work for you… KORTA.NU/NDe
I have a bigger problem that I just discovered in ios 10 and that’s Apple’s transcribing voice mail messages and leaving them on my phone as text. As an attorney my clients may be leaving me messages that are privileged from anyone else finding out what they are. This violates that, in spades. It creates a transcript – and no doubt an archive – of a private phone call that is protected by law from law enforcement or subpoena. Not a very good transcript, either.
Frankly it’s probably some kind of illegal.
that sounds like a carrier service not an apple feature, you may want to look to the carrier. I do not have that feature but my friend does, she uses verizon
The usual complaint that it draws more battery is often because
You tend to use it a, lot more after upgrading and Spotlight wants to re-index everything.
Also after a update it is not uncommon to have a bunch of apps updated soon after.
None of the iOS 10 versions keep the tones I select for text messages stay. The swish continually returns even after multiple reboots.
My Motorola bluetooth still will not connect, even with 10.2. I never had any problems prior to the upgrade. Any ideas?
You would need to leave phone off for 20 minutes then reboot twice. Had same issue.
Thanks William. I tried this this morning and it won’t connect. I keep hearing a tone then it says ‘unsuccessful’. I tested the bluetooth on my iPad and it connects perfectly so it’s definitely a problem with the phone.
