The%20$1295%20Quartet isn’t new; musicians have already been using it as an input device with their Macs. What’s new is the ability to use it with an iPad, thanks to Apogee’s free Maestro app and a Quartet compatible 30-pin connector. Apogee today announced availability of both.

The Quartet is a multichannel controller with four analog inputs and six line outputs, all of which the Maestro iOS app allows complete control over. If you already have a Quartet, you’ll need a firmware update to make it iPad-compatible. More info about compatibilty can be found here.
