Anker, a renowned accessory maker, has initiated a global “voluntary recall” of its six power banks. While the company says there’s no fire risk, it’s issuing the recall out of an “abundance of caution.”

If your Anker power bank is part of the recall, you’ll receive a replacement or a gift card after the company verifies your claim.

This is Anker’s second power bank recall of 2025

Anker stands out for its wide range of quality accessory offerings, ranging from power banks and chargers to docking stations and hubs. But in recent years, the company has had to recall several of its power banks due to a potential fire hazard. This time around, the company has issued a worldwide recall of six power banks. It’s the company’s second major product recall this year and fourth in the last two years.

So, why is Anker recalling so many power banks suddenly?

In its announcement, the company says it “implemented a series of enhanced quality assurance protocols designed to detect manufacturing issues earlier in the production cycle. These safeguards—including expanded component-level audits and supplier testing—helped us identify a potential issue with common, lithium-ion battery cells from a single vendor.”

Due to this, it has recalled the following power banks sold worldwide:

  • Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W) — Model A1257
  • Anker Power Bank (20,000mAh, 22.5W, Built-In USB-C Cable) — Model A1647
  • Anker MagGo Power Bank (10,000mAh, 7.5W) — Model A1652
  • Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C and Lightning Cable) — Model A1681
  • Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C Cable) — Model A1689

A recall out of “abundance of caution”

On a positive note, Anker does not explicitly warn of a fire risk with the above models. “While the likelihood of malfunction is considered minimal, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to initiate a voluntary global recall of several Anker power bank models,” says the company.

Visit Anker’s website to check if your power bank is affected. Once the company accepts your claim, you can get a refund or gift card.
