Celebrated Apple TV+ shows Slow Horses, Bad Sisters and The Velveteen Rabbit won BAFTA Television Craft Awards at a ceremony Sunday in London. Espionage thriller Slow Horses nabbed two while the others took home one apiece.

BAFTA’s craft awards are similar to technical Emmy and Oscars awards, bestowed separately from the main awards. The main BAFTA awards ceremony takes place May 11.

3 Apple TV+ series score BAFTA TV craft awards

Apple TV+ secured multiple prestigious wins at this year’s BAFTA Television Craft Awards. The streaming service’s critically acclaimed espionage drama Slow Horses led the victory parade with two awards. Meanwhile, hit dark comedy Bad Sisters and family special The Velveteen Rabbit (which received six Emmy nominations last year) also received recognition.

Slow Horses, one of this year’s most-nominated productions, claimed top honors in both the Editing: Fiction category for Robert Frost and Sound: Fiction for the team of Andrew Sissons, Martin Jensen, Joe Beal, Alex Ellerington, Duncan Price and Abbie Shaw. The technical achievements highlight the meticulous craftsmanship that helped make the Gary Oldman-led series a standout in Apple’s programming lineup.

Bad Sisters continued its award-winning streak with Tim Phillips and PJ Harvey taking home the Original Music: Fiction award. The series, which follows the complicated lives of the tight-knit Garvey sisters, also saw recognition at the 2023 BAFTA Television Awards.

Completing Apple’s impressive showing, the beloved children’s adaptation The Velveteen Rabbit won for Children’s Craft Team. It honors the collaborative efforts of Tom Bidwell, Jennifer Perrott, Rick Thiele, Sarah Brewerton, Anna Rackard and James Mather in bringing Margery Williams’ classic tale to visual life.
