Last week Keychron trotted out an ultra-slim wireless keyboard that folds in half for easy portability. At $64.99, the Keychron B11 Pro Ultra-Slim Wireless Foldable Keyboard is aimed squarely at Mac users and mobile workers who want the comfort of a proper keyboard without lugging around a bag.

When folded, the B11 Pro measures just 196.3mm × 143 mm — roughly the size of a small paperback. That makes it small enough to slide into a jacket pocket.

Despite its compact folded footprint, the B11 Pro opens up into a full 65% Alice layout. The Alice design places each half of the keyboard at a slight inward angle. It’s widely regarded as one of the more ergonomic layouts available. It reduces strain on your wrists during long typing sessions. And we rarely find the feature in foldable keyboards. So it meaningfully sets the B11 Pro apart from simpler travel keyboards that sacrifice comfort for size.

For Mac users who do serious work away from their desk, the B11 Pro looks like a compelling option worth considering. Keychron helpfully includes a map of the keeb’s key combinations, too.

Smart design details make daily use easier

B11 Pro uses scissor switches paired with concave keycaps, giving it a typing feel similar to a premium laptop keyboard not unlike Apple’s Magic Keyboard — familiar and low-profile, but more stable than typical membrane keys. The keyboard body is made from ABS plastic to keep the weight down to just 258 grams, while the rear is finished in a matte black PU leather material that provides grip on smooth surfaces and adds a premium feel.

A built-in Hall sensor automatically powers the keyboard off when you fold it closed, and wakes it back up when you open it again. It is a small but thoughtful feature that means you never have to remember to switch it off. That’s particularly handy when you’re on the move.

Wireless connectivity and battery life

B11 Pro covers all the wireless bases: Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4 GHz wireless via a USB-C dongle and a wired USB-C connection. That means you can pair it with your Mac, iPhone, iPad or virtually any other device with ease.

The 250mAh battery is rated for up to 138 hours of use on a single charge — enough to keep you going for weeks of typical use before you need to plug it in.

Works with Mac, Windows and Linux

B11 Pro ships with a Mac layout, with keycaps that carry both macOS and Windows legends for flexibility. It’s compatible with macOS, Windows and Linux.

Using the Keychron Launcher web app, you can remap keys, create macros and configure custom shortcuts. It’s the same tool used with Keychron’s well-regarded mechanical keyboard line-up. For Apple users who switch between a Mac and another device, or who simply want to adapt the layout as they wish, that kind of customization is a bonus.

Keychron B11 Pro Ultra-Slim Wireless Foldable Keyboard: Availability and pricing

Keychron B11 Pro is available now through the Keychron online store at $64.99. An Amazon listing will likely follow. At that price, it’s an accessible option for anyone who wants a portable, ergonomic keyboard without spending the kind of money typically associated with travel-ready peripherals.
