The MacBook Air is delightfully lean, but it’s less than pleasing when its drive space runs thin. It’s a costly hassle to upgrade the internal drive, which makes TarDisk’s 64 gig SD drive expansion a very attractive alternative. It plugs right into the SD slot on the side of your laptop and stays out of the way, for an easy expansion that you can get right now for just $99.99.

TarDisk adds its considerable capacity without sticking out of the side of your laptop, making it as inconspicuous as it is indispensable if you need extra space. It’s useful for more than just storing more movies, too — when you get a ‘startup disk almost full’ notification for example, slipping this into the SD slot adds the boot capacity needed to get to your desktop. It’s also fast, transferring data via a UHS-1 SDXC protocol at Speed Class 3 and higher, with 4k flash memory controllers for data allocation.

Buy now: Get the TarDisk 64GB expansion for $99.99, a full 32 percent off the normal price.

Can it be used with Time Machine for back ups ????

Yes, you can use it with time machine. But look at my other post and save yourself some $$ and get twice the capacity.

Well COM wouldn’t “approve” my comment to not purchase this product because they are obviously getting some kickback from it, but there are far better, similar solutions than this product.

Actually there aren’t. It seems that TarDisk actually integrates with your internal drive and expands your Macbook hard drive so you don’t have to manage files your self. Seems like they’re using core storage, I don’t believe there is any other product on the market like this.

The topic was TM backups. Don’t come in off topic like you know something. There are several better solutions for internal TM backups that will give users more space for less $$.

      Definitely works with Time Machine.
