Soundcore Motion X600 portable speaker deal
I’ve tested many speakers over the years, and the Motion X600 remains my go-to recommendation for anyone seeking premium audio in a highly portable package. What makes this speaker special is its innovative spatial audio system that uses five drivers — including an upward-firing speaker — to create an immersive soundstage that rivals speakers costing twice as much. Mine lives in my kitchen for frequent home use. But with its dedicated handle across the top, robust metal build and relatively compact size, it’s ready to travel in a knapsack or bag anytime. It’s not feather light, but even that underlines its high quality.
As I wrote in my 5-star review of the speaker, its sound quality is genuinely impressive. With 50 watts of power distributed across two woofers, two tweeters and that upward-firing driver, the X600 fills rooms with rich, detailed audio. The bass response is punchy thanks to the BassUp feature, while highs remain crisp and clear. Design-wise, Soundcore nailed it. The speaker features a premium aluminum and plastic construction with a sturdy metal handle that makes transport effortless. Despite weighing just over four pounds, it feels substantial without being burdensome. It’s available in three attractive colors, too: Polar Gray, Lunar Blue and Aurora Green. I have the gray one.
The X600 sports IPX7 waterproofing, so poolside listening sessions are no problem — just keep it away from sandy beaches since it’s not dust-proof. Battery life hits up to 12 hours at moderate volume, though you’ll get less if you’re maxing out the volume with spatial audio and BassUp enabled.
Tech enthusiasts will appreciate support for Sony’s LDAC codec for high-resolution wireless streaming on compatible Android devices. The Soundcore app unlocks additional features including a nine-band equalizer, custom sound profiles and firmware updates. You can even pair two X600 speakers for true stereo sound.
