@DrMugg – From 9to5mac. Dag Kittlaus, one of the former of Siri, wanted to name his daughter Siri, but he got a son so he instead named his company Siri .“Our first child was going to be named Siri, but then we got Markus”.
Btw. Siri in Norwegian means “beautiful victorious counselor”.
Alexa is a short form of Alexandra It’s derived from the Greek alexein (to defend, to help).
