Satechi redesigned its iPad desktop stand to provide a more stable, hands-free option. The device includes a pair of hinges to offer a wide range of viewing angles.
The accessory maker also introduced a pair of slim keyboards Thursday that can be used with MacBooks or iPads.
Satechi Aluminum Desktop Stand for iPad
The updated iPad stand is made of aluminum with a space gray finish to match Apple products. Pads keep the tablet from sliding or being scratched.
One of the hinges flexes 180 degrees, while the other bends to 135 degrees. The intention, according to Satechi, is to “give users the ability to adjust their iPad to a preferred height and angle perfect for video calls or surfing the web.” The accessory can also be folded up for use on the go.
The Satechi Aluminum Desktop Stand for iPad launched Thursday. It costs $44.99.
Satechi Slim X1 and Slim X3 keyboard
Meanwhile, Satechi’s pair of new keyboards offer a very sleek profile, with minimal wasted space around the keys. They come in aluminum casings.
The Slim X1 includes a standard layout with function keys. “The keyboards’ small and compact design can easily be placed in a briefcase or backpack for maximum portability,” notes Satechi. The Slim X3 adds a number pad, making it a better fit for an office.
Both include function hot keys that work with macOS and iPadOS. And both offer backlit keys, with adjustable lighting levels.
There are Bluetooth versions of each, which can be paired with up to three computers. Switching between them is done at the press of a key. Satechi also sells USB-C versions.
The Bluetooth versions of the Satechi Slim X1 and Slim X3 keyboard are available now for $69.99 and $89.99, respectively. The USB-C versions will debut in February for $59.99 and $69.99, respectively. You can use promo code WFH20 to receive 20% off until January 10.
Either keyboard can be combined with Satechi’s iPad stand and an Apple tablet to create a portable desktop computer. The previous version of the stand is available from the Apple.
