You can live your dream to become a space rockstar in Reigns: Beyond. Players will need to do everything from planning tour dates to fighting space pirates in this card-based game that launched Friday on Apple Arcade.

Rise to intergalactic stardom in Reigns: Beyond

It’s the creation of Devolver Digital, who says, “As an intergalactic indie rockband, plot your rise to ‘stardom,’ traveling from planet to planet and gig to gig on your quest for fame and fortune. Play local (and not-so-local) clubs throughout the galaxy, recruiting alien band members along the way, and rock out across the cosmos! But make sure you’re managing your ship’s resources and keeping your crew in check while on this stellar tour because one wrong decision may leave you lost in space!”

There are more than 1,400 decision cards in Reigns: Beyond, giving a wide array of possibilities. And the swipe-based game includes over 60 characters to interact with.

Devolver Digital put together a video to demonstrate this title.

This is a single-player game for players 12 and up. There are versions for iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple TV. It can be played with external game controllers or touchscreens (where available).

Launched Friday on Apple Arcade

Reigns: Beyond debuted Nov. 6 exclusively on Apple Arcade, the iPhone-maker’s subscription gaming service. The cost is $4.99 per month, but over 100 other titles are included. And in-app purchases, loot boxes and ads are banned so there are no other costs.

A similar offering on Apple Arcade is Next Stop Nowhere. Or there’s Necrobarista, a plot-driven game that serves up “death, coffee and feelings.”
