The great thing about having Siri built into your Apple Watch is that it’s always there when you need it. The bad thing about it is that it’s there when you don’t need it, too.
BBC Weather meteorologist Tomasz Schafernaker recently ran into an embarrassing mishap on live TV when describing snow in the US Midwest. At that point, Siri kicked in to correct him, saying there was actually no snow forecast.

It’s not clear exactly how Siri was activated on his Apple Watch. It seems likely that Schafernaker may have the “Raise to Speak” setting enabled on his Apple Watch. This could have triggered Siri as he gesticulated toward the green screen. Another possibility is that he may have accidentally pressed the Digital Crown or that Siri misunderstood something as its wake word.
Either way, it’s a pretty amusing moment to see play out. Especially given the anchor’s incredulous reaction to Schafernaker’s talking watch.
