The new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is one step closer to shipping for those who got their order in early. Some customers have noticed that their credit cards were charged by Apple today, which means the first wave of shipments is coming.
“Multiple reports collated by AppleInsider and other sources show that Apple is gearing up for the first wave of shipments of the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, in every configuration,” reports AppleInsider.
[contextly_auto_sidebar] It appears those who have already been charged placed their order for the new MacBook Pro on the day of Apple’s “Hello again” event, where the machine got its official unveiling. Some placed their order the day after.
MacBook Pro shipping dates improve
The first wave of shipments is expected to reach customers as early as November 11. Those who ordered before the shipping estimate slipped should expect to receive them by November 17, though some could be waiting until November 25.
“Users who ordered on the second day after the event, or later, appear to not be getting charged as of yet,” AppleInsider adds. However, some customers have seen their expected delivery dates improve from late December to the beginning or middle of December.
If you didn’t get a chance to order your new MacBook Pro before shipping times slipped, you might be able to get one at your local Apple store soon. It is claimed baseline configurations for both the 13- and 15-inch models will be available in stores on or around November 15.

Not. Going. To. Buy.

The prices are too high. Not many ports, and you even need to carry a bunch of adapters with you everytime to use any of the ports if needed!
Apple buyers are going to buy it because Apple, no matter what it has or how much it costs. Even though most will just use it for web consumption, facebooking and twitter. It’s a high end consumer laptop and that’s all it needs to be if you’re into Apple and want an upgrade with a ‘pro’ label. Besides, where else are you going to get a macOS system?
It is a prison system bit many don’t care as long as that logo is there.
I. Bought. It. What ports are you so concerned about? Would you like a serial port? VGA? S Video? in 18 months, nearly every product you buy will be USB C and you’ll be pissed when you have to get out an old style USB cord buried somewhere deep in the junk drawer. Just evolve with Apple’s vision, or buy a different computer that works for you. It honestly doesn’t matter to anyone else but you.
Bump. People are stuck in the past and this is a great move forward. Most people don’t even understand or realize the benefits of the other improvements that were made. P3 gammut, anyone? No one else is doing that.
