For $16.99 a month, it’s now possible to subscribe to Disney+, Hulu and Max. That’s a 53% savings for the popular streaming services. The cost almost doubles for advertising-free versions, though.

The three are ready to watch on Mac, iPad, iPhone or Apple TV.

Thursday’s move is part of a recent trend toward bundling. Apple TV+ got on the bandwagon in May, joining in with Netflix and Peacock.

Disney+, Hulu and Max for 50% off

Streaming services have embraced bundles because they reduce churn. Someone might drop a subscription to one service because they don’t watch it much, but they are less likely to cancel a bundle with two other services — they’ll have to go through the hassle of subscribing to them separately, possibly at the same price as the original bundle.

Disney+, Hulu and Max announced this spring that they would team up. Starting Thursday, that promise has been fulfilled. They’re accepting subscriptions to the bundle now. It’s only for the United States, though.

The monthly cost for the services with advertising is $16.99. For comparison, separate advert-supported subscriptions to the three would cost $25.97. And the price rises to $29.99 for the ad-free version of the bundle. The regular ad-free total would be $48.97, so the bundle is a savings of $18.99 or 63%.

Disney+ is the home of all things Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and more. Hulu is the place for The Bear and Shogun. Max offers hits like Abbott Elementary and His Dark Materials.

Xfinity customers can pick an Apple TV+ bundle option

A bundle that includes Apple TV+, Netflix and Peacock launched in the spring. This is $15 per month, a savings of 35% off getting the services separately. It’s only available to Xfinity customers, though.
