Apple’s sleek and colorful all-in-one desktop computer, the iMac, appears in Cult of Mac‘s setups coverage less often than other Macs, but not for lack of trying. It seems people don’t flaunt iMac setups all over social media all that much. But judging by today’s warm and inviting pink-iMac setup, maybe they should.

The cozy little office space also benefits from smart lights we don’t see all that often, either.

Cozy iMac nook makes picture-perfect workspace

Redditor Ok-Mulberry6597 (“Ok”) showcased the simple and picture-perfect iMac setup in a post entitled, “Imac homeoffice 2024.”

“Peak coziness,” a commentor declared, pretty much hitting the nail on the head.

Ok runs the pink version of Apple’s all-in-one desktop machine, a 2023 24-inch iMac (in this case with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD). The slim and colorful machine — it also catches eyes in blue, green or silver colors — comes with a matching mini Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse. But Ok goes with just the keyboard and relies on the ever-popular Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse as well as a Magic Trackpad.

The machine includes a 4.5K Retina display that hits 500 nits of brightness and supports 1 billion colors. The Mac also features a built-in 1080p FaceTime HD camera, three microphones and a six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio.

“Looks so slick,” a commenter said. “Just wish they would make a bigger iMac!”

“Could be cool with a 27-inch … but in my ‘office’ this size works perfect,” Ok replied.

Philips Hue Go smart table lamps set a mood

Ok’s cute setup benefits from their use of Philips Hue Go smart LED  table lamps. He’s got two on the desk and one on the shelf at upper right (visible in the photograph below).

Each roughly $90 lamp comes with a silicone grip and color-changing bulbs capable of showing warm or cool whites and millions of colors. Go lights can be used indoors or outdoors.

And if you add a Hue Bridge, you can use the lights with HomeKit and and the Matter standard to enjoy automations and control them from anywhere.

How about a second HomePod for stereo sound?

Another commenter recommended OK add a second HomePod 2 to the midnight one he has on the window sill, saying “them in stereo is just blissful.”

Turns out Ok has one, he just doesn’t use it in the office.

“Have one downstairs, thought about doing stereo, but the ‘office room’ is not that big, so it won’t make a huge difference,” he replied.

Another person wondered how Ok likes the big felt desk mat he uses, having heard mixed reviews of them.

“I really love it, feels good, looks good and no issues with the [Logitech] MX Master mouse,” Ok replied.
