Make your 11-inch iPad Pro into mini MacBook lite
You can not turn a MacBook into a tablet, but you can turn an iPad into a laptop. Just add a clip-on keyboard with trackpad to make a clamshell computer ready to type an English paper, enter data into a spreadsheet, or fire off a lengthy email to the marketing department.
The Brydge Pro+ is well-suited for this. It includes a pair of clamps that hold one edge of the tablet to the keyboard. The clamps are also the hinges, making the 11-inch inch iPad Pro into a convertible with the shape of a small MacBook.
The add-on keyboard hit the market in 2020. At its debut, the Cult of Mac review of the Brydge Pro+ said, “One of the best keyboards money can buy for iPad Pro now comes with a built-in trackpad.”
The accessory struggled a bit at launch because Brydge built in a trackpad before iPadOS was really ready for one. However, successive software updates dealt with those issues. Just make sure to update the keyboard/trackpad firmware via the free Brydge Connect app, available on the App Store.
