Amazon is currently discounting Apple’s excellent M1 iPad Air by a whopping $99. The deal brings the tablet’s price down to $499.99, making it much more affordable.

With a $99 discount, the M1 iPad Air makes a lot more sense than the M2 iPad Pro unless you need a ProMotion display.

2022 iPad Air is the iPad you need

Apple’s 2022 iPad Air uses the same M1 chip that powers the 2020 MacBook Air and the 24-inch iMac. With such a powerful SoC, you can use the M1 iPad Air for even the most demanding workloads without any worries.

You get a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display adorned with slim bezels on the M1 iPad Air. However, unlike the iPad Pro lineup, the iPad Air’s panel only refreshes at 60Hz. The side button houses a Touch ID sensor for biometric authentication.

Apple includes a 12MP Ultra Wide camera on the iPad Air’s front. There’s Center Stage support, so you will always be in the frame while on video calls.

M1 iPad Air gets a big discount

With a starting price of $599, the M1 iPad Air already provides excellent value for money. But once you consider the $99 discount Amazon currently offers, it becomes an irresistible deal. For $499.99, you can’t find a better tablet than the M1 iPad Air in the market.

Do note that the entry-level iPad Air comes with 64GB of storage, which will likely be insufficient if you plan to use the tablet as a desktop replacement. If that’s the case, spring for the 256GB configuration. It is also available with a $99 discount, bringing its price down to $649.99 from $749.

If you want the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant, certain configurations are available with a $70 discount.
