Apple’s Magic Keyboard is one of our favorite iPad accessories. The keyboard accessory includes a built-in trackpad, making it far more useful than a regular keyboard. This also helps differentiate it from the Smart Keyboard Folio — the latter only has a keyboard.
Taking a cue from the MacBook’s keyboard, the Magic Keyboard for the iPad uses a scissor-switch mechanism. The backlit keys offer 1mm of travel, producing a nice click when pressed. There’s also a comfortable amount of space between the keys. As for the trackpad, it supports gestures and provides decent room and tactile feedback.
If you are always on the go, the Magic Keyboard is a no-brainer iPad accessory. It will make writing long emails, working with word documents, and overall multitasking far easier.

The accessory also works with the 2020 and 2022 iPad Air.
For the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Apple sells a different model. It carries a higher MSRP of $349, though Amazon is currently discounting it by $50 to $299.
