Satechi Eco-HardShell Case adds a layer of MacBook protection
Carrying a MacBook around “naked” isn’t very safe. The expensive computer can get scratched up just by riding around in a backpack with other items.
The Eco-HardShell Case fits tightly around the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models released in 2021. It’s designed to shield the notebook from scratches and fingerprints – Satechi makes no mention of it offering any drop protection.
There are cutouts to give access to the computer’s ports. And these are large enough to use clip-on accessories like Satechi’s Pro Hub Mini. Plus, openings in the case align with the MacBooks’s air vents to ensure cooling.

The Eco-HardShell Case launched Friday at $44.99. The price is the same for the 14-inch and 16-inch versions. It’s available in clear or black.
