Apple TV+ received almost a dozen Golden Globe nominations on Monday. That includes the film CODA, which is up for best drama. And the The Morning Show was nominated for best drama series while Ted Lasso got a nom for best comedy series.

Plus, Jennifer Aniston and Denzel Washingon were nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for their roles on Apple TV+ shows. And there are plenty more.

4 Apple TV+ films and series are up for Golden Globes

CODA, which is vying for best drama film, tells the story of a child of deaf adults (CODA) who must choose between family obligations and her dream of being a singer. Troy Kotsur is up for best supporting actor in the film.

The second season of The Morning Show received its second nomination for best television drama series. Jennifer Aniston is again up for best actress in a drama, while Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass have been nominated for best supporting actor.

2021 also brought the second season of Ted Lasso, and it and many of its stars scored Golden Globe nominations. The fish-out-of-water show about a football coach at a pro soccer team is up for best comedy series, plus Jason Sudeikis got a nod as best actor in a comedy, Hannah Waddingham is up for best actress and Brett Goldstein is up for best supporting actor.

The first season of Ted Lasso also picked up some Golden Globe nominations. It’s also earned up many, many other awards, like a historic Emmy.

The fact that both The Morning Show and Ted Lasso both received four nominations means that only one other TV series — HBO’s drama Succession — got more.

And to round out the latest list, Denzel Washingon was nominated for best actor in a drama for his role in the Apple TV+ production of Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Macbeth.

These film and these series are all available to watch now on Apple’s streaming video service. They are part of a growing collection of original series and films, including thrillers, comedies, sci-fi, documentaries and more. A subscription is $4.99 a month.
