The video was created by Incite. The goal, according to the film-makers, is to “create beautiful and cinematic shots just like the movies using everyday objects with iPhone 13.”
Hollywood at Home starts with action movies. Car chases, specifically. There’s a suggestion about using filters and slo-mo to increase the drama, with plenty of examples. And Incite’s Dong Hoon J. says, “Don’t be afraid to move with the camera – the phone does a great job of stabilizing the image.“
Amazing landscapes and monsterous pets
“A common movie technique is to use miniatures to create large landscapes on a small scale,” says Dong Hoon J. The Hollywood at Home video demonstrates using groceries. The result is a fantastic candyland, along with a surprisingly realistic desert scene. The iPhone 13 Cinematic mode comes into use.
Those who don’t have huge budget for a CGI monster might consider having the family pet fill in. The Incite video gives tips on creating a mini city and using a dog in place of Godzilla.
