Satechi’s stylish Mac mini stand includes an array of front-facing ports. A new version adds space for a sold-state drive to further increase the macOS desktop’s storage capacity.

The Satechi Type-C Stand & Hub for Mac Mini with SSD Enclosure launched Wednesday. And it’s currently on sale.

Satechi stand puts ports on the front of the Mac mini

The Mac mini includes both USB-C and USB-A ports, but these are on the back. That makes the computer look better but is kind of hassle when you want to plug in a thumbdrive, or maybe a camera. Then ports you can easily reach would be welcome.

“Built to optimize the M1 Mac mini, this sleek stand and hub offers users easy front access to peripherals and increased memory storage, making it a natural extension of any workplace,” said Satechi.

The hub includes three USB-A data ports, micro/SD card readers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

And external storage, too

The M1 Mac mini can be configured with plenty of storage, but many people don’t get enough. Those needing more later have to go with an external drive.

The just-released version of the Satechi’s hub/stand includes a space for M.2 SATA SSD drives. Use this to add a couple terabytes of storage to Apple’s tiny desktop.

The Satechi Type-C Stand & Hub for Mac Mini with SSD Enclosure is available now for $99.99. Use code MACMINISSD on Satechi.com now through July 7 to get 15% off.

The original version without the SSD enclosure is available for $79.99.
