The fresh emoji appearing in iOS 14.5 will set your heart afire. Or at least let you show that in texts. The new collection of pictographs also includes some new faces, and plenty of additional variations to show how we couple up in the 21st century.
iPad users get the same emoji thanks to iPadOS 14.5 and macOS 11.3, which also launched on Monday.
So many new emoji in iOS 14.5
In addition to flaming hearts, other new options fire include exhaling face, face in the clouds and face with spiral eyes, aka “Cinnabon face.” The Unicode Consortium approved these additions in autumn 2020.

A number of existing emoji get updated, too. Notably, the syringe emoji went from drawing blood to injecting a clear liquid — like perhaps a COVID-19 vaccine. Rock climbers finally wear helmets. And the generic headphones emoji now clearly looks like a pair of Apple’s AirPods Max.
In addition, iOS 14.5 ushers in the option to show a woman with a beard. And it brings 200 new variations in skin tones in the couples emoji.

The new emoji are part of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 as well as macOS Big Sur 11.3, all of which made the jump from beta to full release on Monday.
