Anker’s clever wireless power bank clings to iPhone 12 with magnets

CES 2021 bugAnker’s latest external battery uses magnets to attach itself to an iPhone 12 for wireless charging. It enables the handset to juice up while it’s being used on the move.

The accessory maker also unveiled at CES 2021 a 3-in-1 wireless charger with an removable 10,000 mAh battery.

The iPhone 12 series includes magnets around its charging charging receiver. Anker uses these to hold its mobile battery to the handset and transfer up to 7.5 watts of power.

The Magnetic Wireless Power Bank come in capacities up 10 10,000 mAh. It’ll launch in February, with prices ranging from $37.99 to $51.99.

The iPhone magnets are part of the new MagSafe system, but Anker’s battery doesn’t fully support it. Still, the design works only with iPhone 12 models.

Those who carry a iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods might consider Anker’s newest charging station. It has wireless charging pads for all three of these devices.

But it doesn’t stop there. The PowerWave Go 3-in-1 Stand includes a removable 10,000 mAh power bank. This can wirelessly charge an iPhone or Apple’s earbuds. And the Apple Watch charger from the stand can be connected to the battery.

Anker plans to launch this charging stand inMarch. Pricing will range between $159.99 and $199.99.

Last week, the company unveiled the Anker PowerWave Magnetic 2-in-1 Stand that can power up an iPhone 12 and a pair of AirPods.
