Apple has rolled out a revised iOS 14.2 update for iPhone 12 owners. You will see it only if you haven’t already updated to iOS 14.2, which brings more emoji, new wallpapers, Intercom support, and more.
iOS 14.2 made its public debut on November 5 — one week after iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. In addition to the changes mention above, it also brought Shazam integration to the Control Center.
It seems the release may have also included shipped with some problems, because on Wednesday, Apple rolled out a revised version that’s only available to owners of the iPhone 12 lineup.
iOS 14.2 out now (again)
The revised release comes with build number 18B111. The original iOS 14.2 update was build number 18B92. As long as you’re not already running this version, you can download and install it now.
It’s not yet clear what changes build number 18B111 brings. There’s nothing obvious, so it’s likely under-the-hood tweaks to iron out some minor issues iPhone 12 owners have been facing.
Apple on Wednesday confirmed it plans to address an iPhone 12 glitch that causes some users to experience a green tint on their screens. But it seems unlikely this would have been fixed so quickly.
