Andreas Larsson is a Sweden-based security technician who converted a tiny corner of his office into a bonafide workspace. He had limited space to work with so he tried to squeeze every inch out of it. His friend, who works at an office furnishing company, custom-built a desk to span 46 inches — the entire length of his office.
Larsson uses a Dell IPS 27-inch UltraSharp Monitor. He wants to add another horizontal monitor but there is simply not enough space on his desk to put it without it looking like something from Hoarders. He raises his Dell with the Uline Desktop Monitor Mount, which is one of his favorite parts of the setup because all of the extra desk space it saves him.
The heart of his rig is a 13-inch MacBook Pro. It is held up majestically by a Twelve South BookArc stand. In the age of the dongle, everybody needs a good USB hub. Attached to his MBP like a limb is a Satechi Type-C Pro Hub Adapter.
For peripherals, this Swede did not settle. He has a Logitech MX Master 3 wireless mouse, an Apple Magic Trackpad and the Keychron K2 Mechanical Keyboard. He uses both a trackpad and a mouse because, while he loves the gestures of the trackpad with macOS, it is not very ergonomic. So he mostly uses his MX Master 3. His only complaint is that the Keychron K2 keyboard is a little too “tall” for him and wears on his wrists. He remedied this by picking up a Keychron K2 Palm Rest and got to typing.
And of course he would not be true to his Scandinavian blood if he did not have a few things from Ikea. The fake plant above his desk and his charging stand are both from Ikea. All he is missing are some Swedish meatballs and lingonberry jam to clog his arteries.
