Apple’s online store has temporarily gone down ahead of its “Hi, Speed” event, which will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. PDT.

When it comes back online following the event, it will likely be with a range of new goodies on offer — including details of the new iPhone 12 handsets and HomePod mini.

You can read details of what we’re expecting to see at Apple’s second fall event here. The TL;DR version is that there will likely be four new iPhone models (two regular iPhone 12 models and two iPhone Pro models), a smaller sequel to Apple’s HomePod smart speaker, and a new Apple charging pad. There may also be added details about when you’ll be able to preorder Apple’s iPad Air 4, announced last month.

It’s highly unlikely that the new iPhone models will be available for preorder directly after the show. Instead, the iPhone 12 mini and 12 will likely be available for preorder later this month, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max next month. But there could also be an assortment of other accessories for the upcoming handset.

As ever, we’ll be covering Apple’s live event here at Cult of Mac with plenty of breaking news and analysis. For more information about how to watch the event live, check out our “how to” post here.
