Mario Kart Tour is certainly living up to its name. Having taken players to Paris, London, New York and Tokyo, alongside seasonal courses based on Halloween, winter and Valentine’s Day, the hit Nintendo racer now has a new destination: Vancouver.

Its new Vancouver Tour is the first time Mario Kart Tour has headed to Canada. And it’s throwing in new character costumes Aurora Rosalina and the hilarious Hiker Wario for the ride. Check out the trailer below.

The course runs from now through February 25 or February 26, depending on where you’re located. As with previous new courses, that gives you just under two weeks to master the new tracks, and pick up whichever new characters you want to hold onto. While the tracks disappear after that, you’ll still be able to play as Aurora Rosalina and Hiker Wario.

The Vancouver Tour is free to play, although Mario Kart Tour does offer a variety of in-app purchases.

Personally, I’m a bit disappointed with how the game plays. Specifically, I find it too easy, since it makes it virtually impossibly to not come in as one of the top players on each track. The controls are also a bit slippy for my liking, never quite feeling like you’re in control of your kart.

Mario Kart Tour: Vancouver and beyond

Nonetheless, Nintendo is impressive in its ability to keep dropping new content to keep people coming back. Apple last year revealed that Mario Kart Tour was officially the most downloaded App Store game of 2019. With continued updates like the Vancouver Tour, that trend only looks set to continue through 2020.
