Apple will reveal its next quarterly earnings report at the end of October. According to Apple’s updated Investor Relations webpage, the Q4 2019 earnings report will land on October 30.

This will cover the fiscal fourth quarter of 2019 — the three months leading up to the iPhone 11 release.

A typical Q4 covers October, November and December. If you’re wondering why Apple is reporting its final earnings of 2019 before the year is actually ended, it’s because Apple keeps non-standard quarterly accounts. Apple’s accounting year starts in October, the same as the U.S. federal government’s fiscal year. That means that the last three calendar months of 2019 are actually the first three fiscal months of 2020. Got it?

The Q4 2019 earnings won’t cover the success of the iPhone 11 and Apple Watch Series 5 launch. However, it is extremely likely that Apple will comment on the launch. This won’t be in terms of sales figures (Apple doesn’t report those any more), but rather a general sense of demand for the new devices. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently told a German newspaper that the latest iPhone enjoyed a “very strong start.”

Apple will publish its Q4 earnings online and accompany the report with an earnings call with investors and analysts. This will take place at 2 p.m. PT. We’ll cover the key details here at Cult of Mac.
