Google’s latest Waze update on iOS makes it easier for drivers to prepare for toll roads during their next journey. Users in the U.S. and Canada will now see exactly how much they’ll have to pay at tolls on their route.

Waze isn’t the go-to mapping app for most people, but it is certainly one of the most useful. Not only will it provide you with directions, but also handy information on things like speed traps, traffic congestion, and more.

Its latest trick is helping you prepare for toll roads on your next journey.

Waze adds toll road prices on iOS

Most mapping apps will tell you if there are toll roads during your journey. Some will also help you avoid them. But unlike the others, Waze now shows you where the toll roads are and exactly how much they’ll cost you.

The new feature, like a lot of Waze features, is powered by users. The Waze community provides toll pricing and helps ensure it’s always up-to-date. But it’s worth remembering that prices may be a little different when you come to pay.

The feature is only available in the U.S. and Canada for now, and you should be able to use it starting today. It is likely to expand its reach to other countries later, but Waze is yet to tell us when that might happen.
