Recent rumors have suggested Fortnite’s fifth season will take us back in time, but we don’t have to wait for some sweet old school action.
Epic Games today added a brand new drum gun into Battle Royale to go with 1920s era outfits that are available from the item shop for a limited time.
After a huge Blast Off event over the weekend, cracks have appeared in the sky above the Battle Royale map, and they continue to grow larger by the day. Fans believe those cracks will create time rifts that bring historical cities to areas of the map.
Adding fuel to that speculation, Epic is already offering up some vintage items that we can get our hands on right away.
Fortnite gets a brand new drum gun
As of today, you can now find the brand new drum gun in Battle Royale. Epic calls it a “hybrid weapon that combines the stopping power of a rifle with the suppressive ability and fire rate of an SMG.”
The drum gun is available in uncommon and rare variants and can be found on the floor, in chests, and in vending machines. It uses medium ammo — the same used for assault rifles — with a 50-round capacity and deals a base damage of 26/27.

You will also find new items from the 1920s Hardboiled set, pictured above, in the item shop. There are three outfits each with back bling, a pickaxe skin, and a glider. You’ll need to grab them quickly because it’s almost time for a store update.
