Apple Pay’s weekly promotions can save you a small fortune on some of your most frequent purchases. With the help of retail partners, Apple has offered free fries at McDonald’s, money off sporting goods from Fanatics, free delivery on fast food, and money off your movie tickets.
The latest could help you get groceries delivered to your door for free.
Free Instacart delivers with Apple Pay
Use Apple Pay when purchasing groceries from Instacart and you may qualify for free delivery. The promotion is available in selected areas and applies when you spend $35 or more before 11:59 p.m. on May 23.
Instacart usually charges $5.99 for delivery, though this increases if you place a large order, or choose to have your groceries delivered during a “busy” period. The only way to avoid these delivery fees every time is to subscribe to Instacart Express, which is priced at $14.99 a month or $149 a year.
This is a nice little saving for Apple Pay adopters, then — one that Apple hopes will encourage more people to try its mobile payments service.
