There’s typically a period of anticipation after every Apple keynote, between a new product being announced and it arriving in stores for customers to buy.
That may not be the case with today’s Mac event, as a photo shared online show Apple Stores set up with outside line dividers — suggesting that whatever Apple announces today may well go on sale immediately following the event.

The picture posted online showed Apple’s San Francisco Apple store, at which not only are line dividers already erected, but there is also space on the floor for what could be a possible display area. Other users commenting on the Reddit thread suggest Apple stores elsewhere have taken similar steps.
Today’s Apple event is reported to include a fancy new MacBook Pro with Magic Toolbar, 12-inch Retina MacBook, and possible new iMac. For our run-down on everything we’re expecting to see, check out our video here.
The event is set to kick off at 10am PT (1pm ET). Make sure to check back in at Cult of Mac, where we’ll be liveblogging the event.
In the meantime, is your Apple Store showing line dividers or anything else to suggest new MacBooks will ship today? Leave comments (or, better yet, pictures) below.

Would you have to buy in store? Can’t you order online?
I imagine you can do both, though I wonder if in store pickup will be available immediately, or will they delay that option a week or two, as they have done in the past for some items.
Have they done that? This is actually my first apple product, so I have no idea!
With the phones, sometimes the order online – pick up in store option is disabled for a week or two to prevent the stores from getting overwhelmed. In those instances, you can buy in store or go online and have it delivered.
