Get your hands on the camera that redefined the photograph [Deals]

By

Lytro

It doesn’t look like any camera you’ve ever seen, and that’s because it’s not. The Lytro makes images that can be refocused after they’re shot, even moved around in 3 dimensions. These “living” pictures have made the Lytro one of the most envy-worthy pieces of photo gear, and right now you can get one for just $369.99 at Cult of Mac Deals.

Lytro’s “living pictures” makes the refocusing, perspective shifts and 3D depth possible by capturing the direction — rather than just the position — of millions of light rays. That doesn’t mean it’s unfamiliar to use, featuring the common digital camera features like auto focus, exposure modes, etc. On top of that, it’s sturdy and compact, and shoots photos at an optimal resolution for sharing online, along with a bevy of photo filters.

Grab a Lytro for $369.99 at Cult of Mac Deals.

“optimal resolution for sharing online” is a PC way of saying that it only capture low resolution images. PASS

    Oh, please.

    From this piece of “journalism:”

“the camera that redefined the photograph”

    Dear Author,

With all due respect, can you elaborate a bit here?

The “journalist” goes on to opine:

“These ‘living’ pictures have made the Lytro one of the most envy-worthy pieces of photo gear, and right now you can get one for just $369.99 at Cult of Mac Deals.”

Respectfully, I’m no techie and I only visit the cult of mac about once a year but I don’t remember the people at this website being so flagrantly prostituting their craft and cut of mac as a brand.

Or am I wrong? Is this really the new (FILM) Leica, a camera which one would submit was actually a camera that redefined the photograph?
