American Horror Story: Freak Show is set to premiere this October 8 on FX. As each season of the acclaimed FX series is a self-contained mini-series, this fourth season will focus on a big-top freak show.

Below is the first full reveal of the main cast, which includes a mysterious Jessica Lange (who’s played a different character in each season of this drama), dressed in a circus tent-style dress that just begs to be compared to the tents that fall to the ground at the end of the trailer. Also, as above, Kathy Bates is playing a bearded lady for the win.

You may also see Kathy Bates (Misery, Fried Green Tomatoes) as a bearded lady and an almost unrecognizable Michael Chiklis (The Shield, Fantastic Four) as the resident strongman. Rounding out the all-star cast is Six Feet under’s Frances Conroy and Malcolm X’s Angela Basset, who plays a woman with three breasts.

This fourth season of American Horror Story will be set in Florida in 1952, and center on one of a few rapidly-disappearing freak shows from the time period. There will be some sort of creepy conflict between the freaks and some unnamed evil forces. There will of course be an evil clown killer to go with the bearded lady and strongman tropes, so the season is gearing up to be a good one.

FX will air the first episode on October 8, 2014, with successive shows broadcast on Wednesdays at 10/9c.
