Oof.

Dell has, of course, “borrowed” a few inspirations from Apple over the last few years, but in a recent marketing video uploaded to the Texas-based PC maker’s YouTube channel a month ago — and since hastily removed — Dell showed an XPS 15 laptop that seemingly dual-booted between Wind0ws 8 and OS X.

Needless to say, Dell doesn’t sell a laptop like this… at least without hackintoshing it. It’s all a big mistake doubtlessly caused by some overly enthusiastic marketing intern huffing glue during the creation of the video. Dell only wishes its laptops ran OS X.

Those don’t work the other way around.

Well thy’ve ripped of almost all the other details from the MacBook Air so why not hire a production studio dumb enough to mix OS X and WinBlows?

If I had to guess, I’d say the person in charge of designing the screens that were added to the laptops in Post was lazy and just did screen captures from their own machine — a Mac.
